Muscat - Officials of the directorate general of private healthcare institutions at the Ministry of Health (MoH) have found that several private institutions are not maintaining files of patients, a press release stated.
An official at the directorate said that the ministry, as part of its initiative to boost healthcare services, has asked all private healthcare institutions to maintain records of patients in files until the introduction of an electronic database system.
The release said that all private healthcare institutions across the country have been asked to move to an e-system by the end of this year to boost services.
'In case, the system is not introduced within the deadline, action will be initiated against the concerned institution,' the release added.
