The Ministry of Health (MoH) has launched 'Hayah', Oman's first health education TV channel, as part of its 'Healthy Living, Healthy Nation' initiative that aims to raise awareness on a healthy lifestyle.
A press release said that 23 health centres in Muscat governorate will show the programmes to patients, visitors and staff, potentially reaching an audience of 150,000 people each month.
Digital firm Anzyma worked in close consultation with MoH on the project, using the Scala InfoChannel digital signage software.
"This health education channel has the potential to bring a revolution into people's lives," said Adnan al Raisi, IT (Scala) project manager, MoH.
