Muscat - Oman Arab Bank has lately sponsored the Oman National Industries Exhibition (ONiEX), held from April 15-1 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
The event was organised by East Coast for Organizing Exhibitions, and was inaugurated by H E Ahmed bin Suleiman al Maimani, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Administrative, Financial and Regions Affairs, in the presence of H E Mohsin bin Khamis al Balushi, Advisor of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The expo was aimed at encouraging the participation of the largest possible number of industrial facilities and manufacturers in the sultanate, in the various field, in order to put the spotlight on the progress and prosperity witnessed by the sultanate in the field of Omani national industries, as well as to create trade exchange opportunities, and to showcase the national produces, with a view to boost this vital sector in Oman.
The exhibition highlighted the support rendered to the private sector due to its importance as a key source for diversifying the economy as well as promoting the investment in the productive and industrial domains, and promoting the national industries that can significantly participate in the development of the national economy through contributing to the gross domestic product of the country.
The expo also represented an opportunity for the entrepreneurs to meet and close business deals, and to introduce the expo's visitors to the development of the national industry, and the advancement and versification achieved in this regard.
