Abu Dhabi, July 25, 2007 (WAM) -- The National Petroleum ConstructionCompany (NPCC), jointly with Technip, has been awarded by Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) an Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Zakum Gas Processing Facilitiesin the offshore areas of Abu Dhabi.
The contract value is approximately AED1.4 Billion. The project consists of installing gas processing and compression facilitiesto increase the production capacity of the Zakum field, while maintainingthe reservoir pressure. The new gas compression platform will be connectedto the existing lower Zakum Platform by a bridge. It will have two gasturbine driven centrifugal compression trains, a triethylene glycol dehydrationunit, an air cooling unit and a vapor recovery system.
