HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched the fourth phase of Madinat Jumeirah expansions, which will cost Dhs2.5 billion.
The project will face Burj Al Arab area in Jumeirah and includes a five-star hotel, villas, restaurants and a commercial centre featuring retail stores apart from an open walking area.
Sheikh Mohammed's directives were to speed up the project's implementation, so that it will be completed before the end of 2015.
The hotel will have 420 rooms with sea views and feature a range of international restaurants and amenities.
The villas and hotel apartments in the project will be run by Jumeirah Living, one of the subsidiaries of Jumeirah Group. The complex will have 45 luxury villas and hotel apartments.
The project's announcement was made in the presence of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, and HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
