DOHA: Most companies in Qatar have complied with the new policy by the Ministry of Labour requiring them to submit a monthly file of the salaries of their workers either online or personally delivered CD copy.
The new system using the expediency of modern technology has been recently implemented by the Ministry to ensure employers abide with the labour law in giving the salaries of their workers on time. According to the report, most companies consistently cooperated with Department of Inspection at the Ministry of Labour since they regularly and promptly send the documents on workers salaries.
Based on the new policy, companies are required to submit the file of the monthly salaries report reflecting the names, salary and signature of each employee which will be submitted on line through e-mail or personally deliver the CD copy of the file. The files sent to the Ministry with the wrong information will be rejected and will be returned indicating the errors made by the company for them to make necessary corrections. Ministry officials said the new system aims to positively develop a favourable environment between employers and employees and at the same time protect the rights of both parties.
