TRIPOLI, May 16 (Reuters) - Oil and condensate production at Libya's Zueitina Oil Company has been shut down for a second day, according to two employees, after protesters stormed the terminal on Wednesday.
The firm produces between 60,000-70,000 barrels of oil and condensate - a light form of crude - per day (bpd), according to information on its website.
Zueitina has so far not responded to phone calls or emails seeking comment.
One of the employees, an engineer, declined to be named.
The second, who was part of the protest, said protesters were upset because some of workers who had recently been hired as part of a deal with management had not been paid.
He also said the protesters were calling for the firm's headquarters to be moved from Tripoli to Zueitina.
"The company is determined not to solve our issues," Balghasim Sighu said, adding that many of the protesters had Master's degrees.
Zueitina has been plagued by disruptions this year. In January, the terminal was shut down for about six weeks, while flows were halted again by a pipeline explosion in early April.
The terminal also handles other companies' oil exports, including Italy's Eni
