RIYADH, May 16 (KUNA) - - Kuwaiti Minister of Commerce and Industry Anas Al-Saleh stressed here Wednesday the significance of GCC trade and industry committee meetings, which kick-started here today.

Speaking to KUNA following participation in three meetings at the GCC headquarters, the Kuwaiti minister said the outcomes of such gatherings would surely prop up inter-GCC trade and industrial cooperation.

He said the meetings had thrashed out an array of key issues pertinent to trade and industrial sectors in the GCC member states.

During the gathering, Kuwait presented a working paper on Gulf strategic food stock, the minister pointed out.

The GCC ministers of industry also discussed recommendations produced by senior GCC industry officials in Riyadh in October 2011 and April 2012, Al-Saleh said.

Also considered were the findings of a Gulf industrial roadmap and amended GCC industrial regulations, the minister added.
