Kuwait Controls Company (KCC) has started the implementation of a project on the maintenance and renovation of a power station in Wafra, which will provide the required electricity in the joint operations in the area, Deputy Chairman of KCC Ali Al-Alami told Al-Watan. Indicating this is the first time for a Kuwaiti company to execute this kind of project, Al-Alami said the company will implement the project in coordination with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries International Company and an undisclosed company specialized in the maintenance of power stations.

The contract is valid for a period of five years with a value of KD 6 million. Al-Alami added the company is currently dealing with several huge contracts not only in Kuwait but also in other countries in the region. KCC is a holding company that operates in the Arab-Gulf region with strategic shares as a major partner with other Kuwaiti companies. The company is also executing vital projects in the energy, petroleum, pipes and roads sectors using the latest technology to be on par with other developed countries in the world.
