KUWAIT CITY, April 7
The Vehicle Committee in the Ministry of Finance has deliberated on the allocation of vehicles to State officials, during which an agreement was reached to lessen the use of luxury cars and discourage personal use of official vehicles except for senior officials, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.
Sources disclosed the committee includes representatives of all government agencies that decided to specify standards of vehicles for State officials. Sources said the ministry has presented a recommendation to stop wastage of public funds through the restructuring of the mode of hiring vehicles, such that it will be limited to necessary services to ensure smooth flow of work in government agencies. Sources added the ministry has been working on a complementary plan to discourage fiscal wastage in public institutions.
