PARIS, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- French engineering firm Technip announced Thursday it had been awarded, in partnership with the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), a lump sum contract worth USD 500 million for the Satah Full Field Development, about 200 kilometers northwest of Abu Dhabi.
The contract was awarded by the local Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) and it comprises procurement and construction of equipment to help maximize crude oil and oil recovery production from the project.
Technip said it will be using gas injection and gas lift techniques to boost output. The project also includes modifications and installation of new facilities at the onshore Satah plant on Ziku island, Technip said, and these will be carried out by NPCC.
The onshore operations will be executed jointly by the consortium.
