FEWA's Technical Advisor Jasim Imran said the introduction of the generators is part of the efforts by FEWA to improve services
Powerful mobile generators are being introduced in the UAE to ensure power keeps flowing during blackouts.
The Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) announced yesterday that it has taken possession of 1000KVA units, which will be use in emergency situations and during periods of long disruption caused by maintenance.
FEWA's Technical Advisor Jasim Imran said the introduction of the generators is part of the efforts by FEWA to improve services. The generators are mounted on trailers and can easily be transported to sites where they are needed. Sharjah in particular has been plagued by powercuts during the summer in recent years.
