Bandar Anzali, Gilan Prov - Iran exported some 258,000 tons of commodities, worth of $142m, from Anzali Free Trade Zone in north of Iran during the past Iranian calander year (ended march 20, 2013), some 95 percent than its previous year, a local official said in this northern port city Wednesday.

Managing Director of Anzali Free Zone Saeed Rahimi said the figure for the previous year stood at 132,000 tons, worth some $108 million.

He said most of the trade exchanges from Anzali Free Trade Zone were made by countries in Caucasia, eastern Europe, Latin America and north America as well as those in the Persian Gulf and Caspian Sea region.
