Dubai Although summer has definitely kicked in, April promises to be a busy month for both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, going by the variety of events lined up. Gulf News has its ready reckoner ready.
GulfRail 2012, the international exhibition and conference on rail technology systems for the Gulf region, will take place April 17-19 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will also focus on investment opportunities in the GCC.
Agra Middle East, or Agrame, the region’s largest agribusiness event, will take place again this year. It features five closely linked exhibitions under one roof showcasing the latest in agriculture and irrigation; animal husbandry and poultry farming; floriculture and horticulture; fisheries and aquaculture and agricultural machinery. The three-day event begins tomorrow at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Arabian Travel Market 2012, the regional travel and tourism event for tourism professionals, is due for the end of April and into the first three days of May.
The Motexha Exhibition, a three-day event which gets under way today, is an opportunity to access the lucrative and growing Middle East market, liaise, conduct business and form strategic partnerships with local agents, investors and retailers.
The two-day Middle East Film and Comic Conference (MEFCC) targeted at fans of entertainment and pop culture, kicks off on April 20 at the Dubai International Marine Club.
The Dubai Entertainment, Amusement and Leisure Expo (Deal) is a one-day affair opening today.
Bride Show
If you’re tying the knot soon, then the Bride Show will be a must-go-to event. It is being held from April 4 to 7 at Dubai’s International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
In Abu Dhabi, the World Ports and Trade Summits kicks off from April 2-4. It will provide a forum for the exchange of information on the future of ports and shipping.
The summit, held in association with the Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) will see a number of roundtable discussions, in addition to arranged tours to the construction of the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi, Khalifa Port and the environmental breakwater for the protection of the Ras Ghanada reef.
Cityscape Abu Dhabi
Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2012 from April 22-25 will showcase local, regional and international projects to a global audience comprising investors, senior real estate professionals and the emirate’s leading government bodies.
CityBuild Abu Dhabi, being held for the second year within Cityscape, is a business-to-business trade exhibition.
World ecoConstruct, an international exhibition focusing on sustainable design and construction for the built environment, will share its locations with Cityscape Abu Dhabi.
Arabian Construction Week, an international construction event dedicated to sustainability and innovation, will take place from April 22-24.
The event includes three trade exhibitions: Green Building, Future Build and Civil Engineering.
Piscine Middle East, a swimming pool and spa event, is an annual trade show which will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from April 22-25 alongside Cityscape Abu Dhabi.
