AMMAN -- Jordanian Electric Power Company (JEPCO) workers on Sunday staged a sit-in outside Parliament, calling for better salaries and work conditions.
They also stressed that the government should stop raising prices.
Ahmad Meri, president of JEPCO workers' union, said the workers presented a memo to Lower House Speaker Saad Hayel Srour listing their demands.
According to Meri, members of the House's Labour and Social Development Committee met with the workers and expressed support for their demands.
