CAIRO (Zawya Dow Jones)--EFG Hermes (HRHO.CI), Egypt's biggest publicly traded investment bank, said Monday that its Chief Executive Yasser El Mallawany was banned from leaving the country.
"The company learnt yesterday that Mr. Yasser El Mallawany, the chief executive officer of the company was banned from travelling," EFG said in a statement posted on the London Stock Exchange. It did not elaborate on the reason for the travel ban.
EFG shares last traded Monday down 4.3% at EGP11.03 on Egypt's stock market.
