DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange, or DGCX, said Wednesday it has appointed Gary Anderson as its new chief executive officer.

He replaces Stephen Gaterell, who left DGCX in February due to personal reasons, the exchange said in an emailed statement.

Before joining DGCX, Anderson was a founding partner in Triniti Financial Group.

Anderson has previously worked as the chief operating officer at Deutsche Bank's Global Exchange Services business, and as an executive director for Goldman Sachs International.
