Tehran - Drilling 11 wells in South Pars phases 15 and 16 are completed and once new platform is installed, there would be the possibility of daily production of 900 million to one billion cubic feet of gas from the two phases.

The executive official of the South Pars phases 15 and 16, Javad Malekinia, said on Wednesday that two jackets of phases 15 and 16, with the production capacity of 2,000 billion cubic feet of gas per day, will be built and installed at the site in the second half of the year.

He said drilling of 11 remaining wells in the phases 15 and 16 of South Pars will be completed by September this year and two drilling decks have been installed for this purpose.

Once the two jackets are installed in the two phases, drilling operations will start in the area, said the official, adding that thus far, about 77,000 meters of drilling have been carried out in the seabed.
