BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Central Bank of Iraq's (CBI) dollar sales today reached to 164.167 million dollars.The exchange rate reached to 1,166 Iraqi dinars for one dollar.
CBI dollar sales retreated since April last following the imposition of certain regulations on the sales.
Today's sales are medium in comparison to the past few years, following the deterioration in February last, compared to the end of 2011 and January last, where the average reached to about 200 million dollars per day, due to the sanctions imposed on Syria and Iran.
None of the 13 banks that participated in today's session offered to sell dollars.
The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday.
