LONDON--Integrated support services company Carillion PLC (CLLN.LN) said Monday Carillion Alawi has been awarded a 130 million pound contract by the Oman Tourism & Development Company, a company set up by the Government of Oman to deliver major projects in the tourism sector, to construct exhibition halls, an energy centre and a three-storey car park.
MAIN FACTS:
-18 month contract is scheduled to begin in July.
-Further contracts for subsequent packages on the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre Precinct are expected to come to market between now and the end of 2014.
-Contract was classified as a probable order in Carillion's Interim Management Statement on May 1.
-Shares closed Friday at 255 pence valuing the company at GBP1.1 billion.
