Abu Dhabi The National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels (NCTH) announced yesterday that it has achieved significant results from its participation in the International Tourism Bourse (ITB), which concluded in Berlin recently.
A spokesperson said that it had conducted important contacts with leading travel and tourism companies which specialise in bookings over the internet.
The NCTH is now looking at forming partnerships with these companies so that they can provide online promotional offers for both the 2010 and 2011 summer seasons.
NCTH hope these partnerships will enable Abu Dhabi to receive a large number of tourists from around the world during the upcoming season.
Danat Hotels & Resorts is expected to sign a number of agreements with tour operators and large tourism companies from Germany, France, Britain, Switzerland and other European countries to organise tour groups to come to the hotel.
Rima Rawass, Group Marketing Manager at the NCTH, said its representatives attended several meetings with worldwide officials of tourism, marketing and media companies during the exhibition.
She said that they hope these meetings will help contribute to the revitalisation of tourism in Abu Dhabi.
