ADCB Wins Two “Deal of the Year” Awards
Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (“ADCB”) Investment Banking Group was recently honoured with two “Deal of the Year 2013” awards from The Banker Magazine, an industry leading publication by the Financial Times. The awards are a clear recognition of the innovative transactions which ADCB’s Investment Banking Group is committed to executing in the structured finance, bond/loan capital markets and sukuk arena.
ADCB was awarded Deal of the Year 2013 - Middle East Restructuring for its role in the successful US$1.7 billion restructuring at Global Investment House. The second award Deal of the Year 2013 - Middle East - Islamic Finance highlights ADCB’s innovative Islamic capital markets ability in the US$2 billion refinancing for the Jebel Ali Free Zone.
Burj Al Arab stars in a highly-anticipated Chinese action movie
Dubai: Burj Al Arab, the World’s Most Luxurious Hotel, features as one of the key locations in the long-awaited Chinese action movie, Switch, released nationwide today, with star-studded cast including Andy Lau, Lin Chi-ling, Zhang Jingchu and Tong Dawei. Switch tells a story about a Chinese action hero (Andy Lau) battling a multi-national organisation to recover a stolen national treasure - the famous painting ‘Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains’. Filled with fast-paced, suspenseful action, extraordinary stunts and breathtaking locations, including Burj Al Arab’s helipad, lobby and the Al Falak ballroom, the gripping plot was filmed in four countries and six cities, including Hangzhou, Fuyang, Taipei, Tokyo, Milan and Dubai.
