MUSCAT -- Bank Sohar participated in the Annual Open Day Event of College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS), which was held on the College premises recently.

It was the third time that Bank Sohar had the privilege to support the CBFS in their Annual Open Day Event. The main objective of the event was to showcase the students' creative projects and also to further activate the students' activities at the College.

Commenting on the support to the annual open day event, Khalfan Rashid al Tal'ey, DGM Retail Banking, Bank Sohar said, "Bank Sohar, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary, has been in the forefront of supporting educational initiatives in the Sultanate since inception. Open days are the culmination of the students' efforts over the year and provides an opportunity for the students to showcase their creativity and talents."

"CBFS considered as one of the premier educational institutions in the Sultanate is engaged in imparting quality education to students especially in finance specialisations. We were indeed glad to support the youth oriented Annual Open day event of the CBFS for the third year. It also provided us an opportunity to showcase our products and services including the popular Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme 2012," added, Al Tal'ey.

Various activities were conducted at the event such as talent competition, musical programmes, art and painting, plays, entertainment games, folklore dance, charity events, car show, traditional dance show and a traditional Omani fashion show. Representatives from various other companies and Banks were present to showcase their products and services to the student community.
