AMMAN -- The Jordan Press Foundation/Al Rai and the Jordan Press and Publishing Company/ Ad Dustour were in the red during the first six months of this year.

Al Rai posted a JD1.2 million loss before tax compared to JD1.1 million profit in the first half of 2011. The foundation's assets stood at JD51.9 million and shareholders' equity totalled JD42.3 million at the end of June.

Income from sales totalled JD1 million, down from JD1.2 million during the first half of last year. Ad Dustour loss amounted to JD744,000, higher than the JD541,000 registered during the first half of last year.
