AHLIBANK held an information security awareness training programme for employees at the bank's training centre in Al Khuwair. Conducted by Jan al Balushi, the training was a part of the bank's data security enhancement programme. The bank holds such events to win over customer's trust and keep up with the latest advancements in the field of information security along with enhancing employee skills.
"A robust and enterprise wide awareness and training programme is paramount to ensuring that people understand their information security responsibilities, organisational policies, and how to properly use and protect the Information resources entrusted to them. Effective information security awareness training binds the whole information security management system together, complementing and supporting technical, physical and procedural controls.
Awareness links policies to practices, aligning what people actually do with what they are supposed to do. It helps them understand their obligations and motivates them to comply, who in turn are advised to spread the knowledge among their customers," said Al Balushi, AhliBank's Information Security Manager.
The bank is also in the process of obtaining an ISO certification for programmes which would further guarantee customers satisfaction and trust in the bank.
