Damascus - Syria's production of light and heavy oil and condensates amounted to 140.931 million barrels in 2010 with a rate of 386,000 barrels per day, marking an increase of 9407 barrels per day compared to 2009.
Statistics of the Syrian Petroleum Company showed that the national companies contributed about 52% of the total oil production, producing 73.759 million barrels while the production of companies working in Syria amounted to 67.172 million barrels.
The total amount of oil delivered to the Syrian Company of Oil Transport was 140,259 million barrels, 56,096 million of which are light oil barrels and 84,163 million are heavy oil barrels.
In turn, the Company delivered 42.511 million barrels of heavy oil and 42.609 million barrels of light oil to refineries and exported 75.358 million barrels.
Overall natural gas production amounted to 10.067 billion cubic meters with a rate of 5.27 million cubic meters per day.
9.396 billion cubic meters were delivered to gas processing plants while 679 million cubic meters were imported from Egypt.
