MUSCAT -- The latest official statistics show that the phenomenon of job-circulation and the unwillingness of youth to work in the private sector has resulted in several negative consequences on the sector with a number of new companies registered at the Public Authority for Social Insurance declining in the last few months.

A total number of 137 new companies were registered at the Public Authority for Social Insurance in July down from 182 in January, while no new company has registered in May. Meanwhile, governorates will today witness the inauguration of the largest-ever plan for the enumeration of job-seekers, which will last for a month.

The drive comes in implementation of His Majesty the Sultan's directives for setting up provisional committees under the supervision of the Public Authority for Manpower Register.
