New Delhi: All the players in the Indian Premier League are expected to be up for grabs going into the gala auction ahead of season XI of the cash-rich league in 2018 and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan has made no bones about the fact that he is ready to sell off everything to make the former India skipper a part of his team.

“Yaar main toh usko apna Pyjama bech ke bhi kharid lun, wo aaye toh auction mein (I’m ready to sell my pyjama for buying M.S. Dhoni but that can happen only when he is available for auction right?),” Shahrukh Khan told a website in an interview.

Dhoni might not have enjoyed the best of IPLs this year with Rising Pune Supergiant, having first lost the captaincy to Steven Smith and then failing to put in match-winning performances consistently, but that doesn’t take away the fact that Dhoni has been one of the best captains to have led in the IPL.

Dhoni guided the now-suspended Chennai Super Kings to two Indian Premier League titles. The yellow brigade won the two trophies in 2010 and 2011 editions.

With the IPL 2018 auction months away, Kolkata Knight Riders owner and bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has shown his desire to have Dhoni in his team next year, but he will not be the only one interested in acquiring the services of Dhoni. Two-time winners Chennai Super Kings will pull out on all stops to make a comeback next year with ‘MSD’ already billed as captain.
