Two-day educational forum to run parallel to Franchising Middle East exhibition in March

DUBAI: Dubai-based international franchise marketing and consultancy firm FranExcel is to organise the third annual World Franchise Forum to complement this year's Franchising Middle East (FME) exhibition, taking place in Dubai next month.

The theme for this year's World Franchise Forum is 'Master Franchising'. The forum will feature a world-class speaker line up, including franchise company CEOs, as well as interactive sessions to cater to all levels of experience in the franchise industry, including theory, practice and legal overview.

"Currently, we are finalizing the topics for discussion. The line up will include franchising professionals, mall developers and legal consultants, to provide a well-rounded view of this business sector," said Sary Hamway, CEO, FranExcel

The World Franchise Forum will be held in Dubai on March 15-16. The conference will take place at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre - Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, the same venue as the FME exhibition. FME kicks off a day earlier, running from March 14-16.

"The conference will complement the exhibition, which offers international franchisors the opportunity to showcase their franchise brands to an audience drawn from across the whole of the Middle East and beyond. The event will offer unparalleled networking opportunities for franchise executives from across the world," said Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman of International Expo-Consults (IEC), the organiser of FME.

FranExcel has been participating in and supporting FME for the past six years and will once again be exhibiting at the show. The consultancy firm has a portfolio of 40 brands in retail, health and beauty, and food and beverage, and will be promoting 10 brands at FME this year.

"At least 10% of our brands are UAE brands. The most successful home-grown brands are 'London Fish & Chips', 'Choco'a', 'Heritage of Henna' and 'PropahT'," Hamway remarked.

The eighth edition of FME will take place on March 14-16, 2011 at Dubai World Trade Centre. Exhibitors already confirmed for FME include Emarat, ENOC, Subway and Wyann International. International representation will include companies from Greece, India, Italy, Malaysia, The Netherlands and the US.

FME is the largest international franchise exhibition in the Middle East and is supported by the IFA (International Franchise Association). The exhibition facilitates direct communication between entrepreneurs and potential franchise buyers from the region and beyond. For more information visit www.franchisingme.com
