Ahmed Néjib Chebbi and Béji Caid Essebsi agreed to unite the efforts of their two political parties last week, Tunisie Numerique reported on Saturday (July 21st).
Caid Essebsi, leader of the newly created "Call of Tunisia" (Nidaa Tounes), and Chebbi, head of the political committee of the Republican Party, met last Thursday where they reportedly discussed a common future strategy for the next transitional period and preparation for the spring elections.
Ahmed Ibrahim, the head of the Democratic and Social Path (Al Massar) party, also attended the talks.
