RIYADH, 5 February 2007 -- The Tabuk Cement Co. will open a new gypsum plant with a 300,000 ton capacity. Khaled Al-Shathri, chairman of the board of directors, said the board has decided in its meeting on Wednesday, that it will also increase the capital by 28.6 percent from SR700 million to SR900 million by granting two shares to each seven shares.
The total shares are to increase from the present 70 million to 90 million. The board also agreed to launch a new production line with a daily capacity of 5,000 tons, a company statement posted on the Saudi bourse said yesterday.
