Amman -- Lafarge Chairman and CEO Bruno Lafont stressed the group's desire to increase investments in Jordan and the Middle East.
During a meeting on Saturday with Jordan Lafarge Cement Factories Company board chairman Abdul Ilah Khatib and the company's staff, Lafont stressed the need to draw up long-term plans and strategies so as to achieve the company's vision and objectives.
He also visited the Fuheis Cement Factory and affirmed the need for better services and products, calling for finding solutions to the company's problems.
Lafont is currently on a regional tour to check on the progress of work of the group's companies.
The French Lafarge company is a strategic partner in the Jordan Lafarge Cement Factories Company as it holds 33 per cent of the total shares of the company.
