AMMAN -- The Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruits and Vegetables (JEPA) on Monday estimated the losses of Jordanian fruit and vegetable exporters at around JD30 million as a result of the situation in Syria.
JEPA President Zuhair Jweihan said the delay in freight transit through Syria has resulted in a one- to two-week delay in the arrival of fruits to the target markets.
This delay caused a decrease in exports, he said.
