The Egyptian New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has selected 15 private and public companies to build 28,000 housing units in some new cities in Egypt, a senior official told Zawya.

These new units comprise the first phase of the final goal to build 900,000 units up to 2017 at a cost of EGP 3 billion (USD 496 million).

The selected companies include the Arab Contractors Company, and El Mahmoudia General Contracting.
