EQUATE Petrochemical Company announced the appointment of Abeer Sulaiman Al-Omar as Senior Executive for Administration & Corporate Services. Al-Omar joined EQUATE in 1996 and prior to assuming the new post, she was Human Resources Leader. She was one of the key players that contributed to the exceptional growth of the company over the years and was instrumental in the developing and implementation of Human Resources at EQUATE.

The selection of Al-Omar stems from her experience, qualifications and competencies that will greatly benefit EQUATE as a world-class company. To EQUATE, human resources are its most valuable asset and Al-Omar's appointment is a boost to its focus on attracting qualified national manpower which form over 55% of its human resources from over 25 countries.

Al-Omar's new responsibilities include leading its human resources, organizational effectiveness, corporate services, as well as corporate & government relations. This key role within EQUATE's new structure will further enhance and will be critical catalyst for the continued and sustainable growth of EQUATE.

Established in 1995, EQUATE is an international joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC). Commencing production in 1997. EQUATE is the single operator of a fully integrated world-scale manufacturing facility producing over 5 million tons annually of high-quality petrochemical products which are marketed throughout the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.
