Bojnourd, North Khorasan Prov - Secretary general of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) said Monday that his organization has decided to establish a bank to promote economic cooperation with banks in the Islamic countries. Speaking to IRNA, Mohammad Yahya Maroufi said ECO also plans to open a trade market for its member states.

Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), is an intergovernmental regional organization established in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey for the purpose of promoting economic, technical and cultural cooperation among the member states.

Islamic Republic of Iran, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are the ECO curent members.
