Dr. Mohamed Bin Ibrahim Al-Swail, President of King Abdulaziz City for Sciences and Technology, has launched today on behalf of Minster of Communications and Information Technology, Saudi GITEX 2012 in its 11th edition.

Lasting gill next Thursday, the exhibition has been launched with participation of more than 250 local and foreign companies specialized in communications and information technology.

After the launch, he toured around the exhibition's booths. Meanwhile, he visited booths of CITC, Ministry of interior in addition to the booth of Yesser program which includes 10 different government agencies which present samples of their e-Services. He also walked around the booths of foreign companies participating in the exhibition.

He said the exhibition reflects the great jump in communications and information technology sector in Saudi Arabia. This market is regarded the biggest in the Middle East, he confirmed.
He pointed out that all agencies that have participated in the exhibition succeed in presenting their expertise, this makes the exhibition a best chance for concerned people in both public and private sectors to know about updates in technology and its future trends he added.

It is GITEX exhibition that has been launched today lasting for 4 days till next Thursday. While the exhibition will work on two periods from 10 AM till 12.30 PM, and from 4 PM till 10 PM, Thursday will be open only for families. The exhibition includes a wide range of sessions in information culture.
