BAGHDAD: Premier Nouri al-Maliki laid the cornerstone of Basmaya city project which accommodates 100.000 housing units.

Premier Maliki stressed that the Iraqi government will support deferred payment for housing projects.

In a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, Maliki disclosed that the government is planning to build extra 200.000 housing units for the poor people.

He called government department to expedite work on deferred payment projects.
