The third Middle East Insurance Forum, organised by Al Iktissad Wal Aamal Group and the Bahrain Monetary Authority, in cooperation with the Bahrain Insurance Association and the Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Medgulf) is scheduled to take place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Bahrain on March 20 and 21.
Convening the forum this year is of special importance in view of the tangible growth which the Arab insurance markets are witnessing, and in view of the anticipated growth rates as a result of the financial surpluses available in the region and the current economic boom represented by the various large-scale projects in the sectors of oil, gas petrochemicals, real estate and tourism development.
In view of the increasing importance of Bahrain as a regional centre for insurance and takaful activity, the event is expected to witness the participation of a selected host of experts from Arab and international insurance and reinsurance companies, along with leaders of supervisory and regulatory authorities, brokers and leaders of banking financial and commercial organisations.
The forum will be addressed by a number of prominent experts and officials, including the BMA Governor and the Secretary-General of the General Arab Insurance Federation, Dr Bassel Hindawi.
