AMMAN (JT) - The Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) will hold the "First Arab Water Week" in cooperation with the Ministry of Water and Irrigation in Amman December 5-10. In a statement received by The Jordan Times on Thursday, ACWUA Secretary General Khaldon Khashman said the event will be the first of its kind in the Arab region and will tackle the issue of water and wastewater problems through different activities. The event, expected to feature the participation of 15 Arab countries, in?ludes the first international conference targeting water professionals titled, "Cost Recovery at Water and Wastewater Utilities: Achievements, Challenges and Solutions", and the First Arab Water Trade Fair, the ACWUA statement added.
