ahlibank organises blood donation camp
MUSCAT -- ahlibank recently organised a blood donation camp at its head office in Wattayah.
The bank has earlier been associated with several social causes in the line with its CSR initiatives; the blood donation camp being the latest.
There was an overwhelming response from the staff along with the management to the blood donation event and this resulted in exceeding the target of units to be collected.
Expressing his satisfaction over the bank's initiative, Abdulaziz al Balushi, CEO, ahlibank said, "As a responsible corporate entity, ahlibank is deeply committed to the community.
Given the continuous need for blood at hospitals and blood banks across the Sultanate, we thought it was essential to organise a Blood Donation Camp, dedicating the same to healthcare in the Sultanate. As ahlibank moves ahead, we will continue to support such noble causes in the future."
Since inception, ahlibank has supported a wide range of social initiatives such as the Women's Guild, Save Energy Oman Campaign, National Association for Cancer Awareness, Oman Media Awards and MyHassad charity drive, where they presented charity organisations located across Oman with cash or utilities.
