Amman - Jordan.  The Board of Directors at Zara Investment (Holding) has appointed Lina M. Annab as general manager overseeing the operations of the company as well as its subsidiaries as of April 1st, 2008.  The appointment of Annab is in line with  Zara's strategic direction of maintaining as well as building on its leadership in the hospitality industry in Jordan.

The chairman of the Board, Mr. Sabih Masri, expressed that the selection of Annab reinforces the vision of the Board of Directors to transform Zara into a 21st century state of the art hospitality holding company aimed at consistently attracting and applying the best in class.  Mr. Masri also added that the depth and breadth of Annab's relationships in the hospitality industry in and outside of Jordan coupled with her track record and reputation for building winning teams and achieving high goals will surely enable her to tackle the challenge of operating in today's increasingly competitive investment and hospitality environment.  
 
Annab commented «It's an honor and a privilege to be selected by Zara's Board of Directors to assume this position».  She added «I am truly thrilled to be entrusted with this challenging task.  There are many exciting opportunities on the horizon and I'm honored to be leading the team that will take our business to the next level."  
 
Annab joined Zara Investment in 2002.  Prior to assuming the position of the general manager at Zara, she served as the deputy general manager for hotel relations and business development.  Prior to joining Zara Annab held various positions at multinational companies and organizations throughout the world.  

Annab graduated with a Masters degree in International Affairs from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.  She is also a graduate in Foreign Languages and Literature and is fluent in five languages.
