We are extremely interested to hear about the dam construction projects in Lebanon.
In fact we would like to have as many details as possible on the proposed dams, such as the number of dams that will be constructed, the locations of these dams, the expected capacity of each dam, the anticipated cost of construction, the scheduled period of construction, the expected sources of financing for these projects and their financing costs etc.
The citizens of this country yearn to be intimately associated with the governance of their country. Such important information must be shared by the Authorities with the citizens from the word go.
We need more TRANSPARENCY at all the levels of the Administration.
We hope that the new Government will understand our need and will share the full details of the projects with us.
We also look forward to learn that the Minister of Energy and Hydraulic Resources has finally decided to draw up a comprehensive Five Year National Plan that he will agree to share with the citizens.
We need to know about such a Plan when it is being drawn, even before its final approval. Later we shall then proceed to monitor its execution in coordination with the Ministry.
