HE Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi highlights the importance of Sharjah in building bridges of cooperation

Sharjah Media Centre, May 26, 2013: A high-level delegation from Sharjah, headed by HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre, began its participation today at the third UAE-Korea Economic Partnership Forum, held in the South Korean capital Seoul on May 27 and 28.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the forum aims to build on the excellent relations between the two countries and allow for the opportunity to generate greater economic interaction and investment opportunities for  the participants.

Sharjah's participation is organized by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), and includes Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Sharjah Healthcare City, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Sharjah Media Centre, in addition to the participation of more than 100 private and government entities from the UAE. 

HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi said: "Our participation in the UAE-Korea Economic Partnership Forum is of great importance, as it allows us the opportunity to demonstrate Sharjah's economic environment and therefore strengthen our existing ties and build new bridges of cooperation on a global scale."

HE also emphasized on the fact that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, brought about Sharjah's stable and steadfast economic growth, where this is manifested in Sharjah's annual GDP of AED 72 billion, which creates a productive economic climate for foreign investments.
