BMW Group importer takes home the highest number of awards at Excellence in Sales Award Ceremony
Abu Dhabi, UAE: Abu Dhabi Motors walked away the overall winner with the highest number of awards won at the bi-annual BMW Group Excellence in Sales Award Ceremony, recently held in Munich at the BMW Museum. The BMW Group importer in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain took home the coveted title of the world's top BMW and MINI dealer in the category "Leadership in Luxury Class" and was ranked among the top three performers for "Focus Aftersales Business". In addition, General Manager, Arno Husselman, was named runner up in the "Manager of the Year"category.
This achievement adds to the company's growing number of accolades, which includes the recently awarded title of "Global Dealer of the Year" for 2012 at the annual Rolls-Royce World Dealer Conference, which took place in February. In addition, Abu Dhabi Motors won the award for "Bespoke Dealer of the Year" for the fourth year in a row, taking its total number of Global Awards to eight in the 10 years it has been a Rolls-Royce Dealer.
Judged by a prestigious panel of members of the BMW Group Senior Management, regional representatives and an external juror, Excellence in Sales celebrates the achievements of its international network and recognises some of the Group's key players. General Manager, Arno Husselmann personally accepted the company's awards from Dr. Ian Robertson (HonDSc), Member of the Board BMW AG and patron of the Excellence in Sales competition. Commenting on the occasion, Husselmann said that he was proud that Abu Dhabi Motors had been chosen from the 49 participating markets and over 1,800 dealers around the world and that its success was testament to its strategies, planning, investments and staff, great teamwork with the BMW and Rolls-Royce Regional offices as well as the power and potential of Abu Dhabi as a market.

Abu Dhabi Motors has enjoyed a positive start to the year, achieving a 22% increase in sales during the first three months of 2013 compared to the same period last year. This follows its record-breaking results in 2012, in which the company delivered 5,358 vehicles - the highest number of vehicles sold in one year in the Middle East, and the first time any BMW Group Middle East importer has delivered more than 5,000 cars in 12 months. In addition, 11 Abu Dhabi Motors service advisors featured in the Top 20 BMW Service Advisor League table for 2012, of which five were in the top 10.
