Abu Dhabi, 14 May 2013: UNB has been a regular sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Industry Award organized by Higher Colleges of Technology as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility strategy focusing on education and encouraging UAE students to succeed in technological fields. UNB has been supporting the award for several years as it is recognizes the importance of recognizing distinguished UAE graduates and supporting the UAE Industrial sector.
On this occasion Mr. Abdulla Al Rashedi SVP & Head of Management Services Group from UNB commented "At UNB we constantly support the educational strategy and encourage UAE nationals to pursue their educational journey leading them to have more rewarding careers. This award is an incentive for UAE students to achieve more in various academic fields preparing them to join the work force and contribute to the society.
"In line with the government's Emiratization strategy, UNB is also committed to attracting UAE nationals and developing their skills through practical training for UAE graduates as well as sponsorship programs and summer trainings". He added.
The awards are given to the highest honor graduates with distinguished achievements in terms of their GPAs, projects and practical training.
The Abu Dhabi Industry award was first instituted in 2004 as an initiative by industry leaders and executives, who are members of HCT's program advisory committee, aims to encourage national students in their pursuit of excellence.
