May 01, 2013: Al Ahli Driving Center has opened an outlet in the Dubai Central Post Office, under a plan that includes launching new branches in central Post offices in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
The opening of Al Ahli Driving Center branch is part of the strategy of Emirates Post to offer diversified the services to the public. The opening ceremony was attended by Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Director of Sales Planning in Emirates Post, Khalifa Al Ayali, Director of Dubai Central Post Office and Ms. Faten Al Jundi, Director of Business Development at Al Ahli Group, and a number of officials from both sides.
Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates Post Group, said: "We were prompted us to open a driving learning centre in post offices because of the fact that we already offer the service of issuing international driving permits. This forms part of our overall business plan to expand the portfolio of services offered at post offices through partnership with new partners."
Faten Al Jundi commented: "Emirates Post Offices present a new gateway for us to serve customers visiting post offices, specifically in the Dubai Central Post offices, which seven days a week. Al Ahli Driving Center is committed to providing superior services for those wishing to obtain a driving license in the United Arab Emirates. We are delighted to partner with Emirates Post in providing registration and training for obtaining a driving license. Our branches in main post offices will be open from 8 am to 9 pm."
Emirates Post's new strategy of leasing spaces in post offices to other service providers was launched in early 2012. A number of companies have begun operations in post offices, including some banks, travel agencies and business centers.
