His Excellency The Ambassador of Italy inaugurates New Showroom

The motoring flair that Italy is renowned for has returned to Kuwait in real style with the official opening of Al Mulla & Behbehani Motor Company's Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Fiat Professional showroom by His Excellency The Ambassador of Italy Mr. Fabrizio Nicoletti and Mr. Paolo Marcante of Fiat Group Automobiles.

Strategically located in Al-Rai on the 4th Ring Road, Al Mulla & Behbehani Motor Company (MBMC) showroom is designed to reflect the European culture of the brands and staffed by experienced, highly trained teams, it offers highly advanced world-class sales and service facilities to both private and commercial customers.

His Excellency The Ambassador of Italy Mr. Fabrizio Nicoletti stated "Fiat and Alfa Romeo brands have proud heritage and bright future with current products that we are happy to see in Kuwait with MBMC".

The importance of the Middle East market was underlined by the recent visit of Alfredo Altavilla, Chief Operating Officer - Fiat Chrysler EMEA, who said that "In 2012, sales-wise, we were the fastest growing manufacturer in the region with our Chrysler Brands, and we aim to achieve similar levels of growth with the Alfa Romeo and Fiat Brands in 2013. Our commitment to the region is demonstrated by the rapid deployment of our Alfa and Fiat network."

Alfa Romeo is synonymous with innovation and Italian style combined with great engineering and technological capabilities. Now available in Kuwait, the exciting Alfa Romeo MiTo was the first car produced by the legendary Italian brand after the stunning 8C Competizione - Alfa Romeo's icon of style and technology - from which it borrows a number of characteristic design cues - the uniquely shaped side windows that are delineated by flush glazing, a three-part "trilobo" motif that distinguishes the front bumpers, the shape of the headlights and the LED tail-lights.

"Alfa Romeo cars have always been known for their drive comfort and dynamic behaviour, and in the case of the MiTo, self-avowedly an Alfa to the core, they are taken to new levels," said Maher Abu Shaaban, Deputy GM of Sales and Marketing at MBMC, sole distributor of Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Fiat Professional in Kuwait. "The MiTo has also been joined by the new Giulietta, which celebrates the brand's past and heralds a future of sporting excellence and elegance that are the hallmarks of Alfa Romeo."

Since its launch, the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta, in addition to receiving rave reviews from customers, has also received numerous awards from the international press. The reasons behind this astonishing success are simple - Giulietta has delivered against the promises made during its development, namely that it would deliver handling and driving pleasure, high quality, low operating costs, comfort and ergonomics plus active and passive safety. Now available in Kuwait, the Giulietta carries on the tradition of the best Alfa Romeos, further enhancing the brand's heritage in terms of dynamic performance, without compromising efficiency and everyday comfort.

The secret behind this performance is the result of constant technological research that has resulted in new technologies that feature in the Giulietta - a compact architecture, created with highly resistant materials, allowed Alfa's engineers to restrict the weight of the car - dual pinion steering and highly sophisticated suspension systems - Alfa's DNA dynamic drive selector and award-winning 170hp 1.4 TB MultiAir engine. These innovations have made a major contribution to the Giulietta's success, while Alfa's TCT transmission completes the car's extraordinary technological offering.

Fiat is redefining performance and luxury benchmarks in the small- to medium-size segments with the latest model of the iconic Fiat 500 and Linea models that are now available in Kuwait.

Beautiful Italian styling combined with timeless functionality, efficient design and innovative technology are the attributes that made the original Fiat 500 (Cinquecento) a timeless icon. More than 50 years later, the same qualities make the latest generation of the Fiat 500 relevant for an entirely new generation of drivers.

"The Fiat 500 is a classless car that has appeal to everyone - a vehicle that's not just about being a well-known badge - I believe we have a 500 model that will is within the reach of a wide range of our Kuwaiti customers, be they individuals or fleet buyers," said Abu Shaaban. "We feel it has always been the right car at the right time, bringing something truly unique to a fast growing segment in Kuwait and delivering Italian-by-design function, value and efficiency, while the Linea, with its assortment of best-in-class features, is the epitome of Italian design and ingenuity."

Fiat Professional's range of competitively priced, highly versatile, strong and reliable commercial vehicles - Fiorino (winner of the Best Light Van Award in the 2012 Van Fleet World Honours), Doblo and Ducato - is also available exclusively through MBMC.

With a wide range of products capable of meeting the most diverse mobility and transport needs, and over a hundred years of experience, Fiat Professional has become a leader in its own sector. It was way back in 1903 that the first Fiat commercial vehicle - the 24 Horse Power - appeared. Over a century later, the brand continues to go from strength to strength, always offering diversified models created to meet the specific needs of every era.

MBMC's determination to deliver exceptional customer service is a key pillar of the company's guiding principles and MBMC continues to work hard to instil the mindset that the customer is king to every one of its employees, enabling it to deliver world-class customer service excellence and add real value to customer relationships.

"In addition to our customer-centric approach in everything we do, we're also constantly working to provide customers with new, innovative, high quality vehicles, all of which combine the very latest features and technology with eye catching style, driving performance, comfort and functionality," said Abu Shaaban.

About Alfa Romeo: Alfa Romeo Automobiles S.p.A. was founded as A.L.F.A. on June 24, 1910, in Milan, Italy. The company has been involved in car racing since 1911, and was owned by Italian state holding company Istituto per la Ricostruzione Industriale between 1932 and 1986 - it became part of the Fiat Group in 1987 and since February 2007 part of Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A.

Alfa Romeo has competed successfully in many different categories of motorsport, including Grand Prix motor racing, Formula One, sports car racing, touring car racing and rallies, competing both as a constructor and an engine supplier, via works entries (usually under the name Alfa Corse or Autodelta) and private entries. The first racing car was made in 1913, three years after the foundation of the company, and Alfa Romeo won the inaugural world championship for Grand Prix cars in 1925. The company established a strong reputation in motorsport and this created a sporty image for the marque.

Sportiness, technology, comfort and elegance all come together to create a distinctive personality and style that characterise Alfa Romeo, an historic Italian marque that celebrated a century of successes in 2010. It continues to embody the distinctive values recognised by generations of car enthusiasts: agility, spirit and style.

Alfa Romeo is synonymous with innovation and Italian style combined with great engineering and technological capabilities. The extraordinary 8C Competizione supercar is the perfect example of this, an absolute gem in the automotive field that epitomises the luxury and elegance of an authentic sports car. Other examples are the 4C, which combines in one car the technology of the future, the efficiency of the present and the sports experience of Alfa Romeo's heritage and the Giulietta, which celebrates the brand's past and heralds a future of sporting excellence and elegance that are the hallmarks of Alfa Romeo.

Each Alfa Romeo has its own distinct personality. Starting with MiTo, which stands out as the world's sportiest compact car, the charm of a sports legend meeting technological and safety excellence. But the goal remains the same for all these cars - to offer real driving pleasure, safely and while fully respecting the environment.
