Eng. Hussein Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality received HE Nguyen Thi Hong, Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Republic of Vietnam and accompanying delegation.
During the meeting Lootah welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of cooperation, communication and interdependence to take benefit of experiences in the areas of municipal work.
Nguyen Thi Hong praised remarkable development of Dubai, its good reputation and privileged relations with various cities in the world. She also expressed her admiration for the civic body in terms of its method of landscaping, green areas and gardens along with hygiene and construction movement in the emirate.
Lootah briefed the areas of work and functions of the Dubai Municipality related to planting, preservation of environment, city planning, buildings and electronic government. He also explained the administrative and organizational structure of the municipality as well as its experience in green building, e-government, actions taken in this area, projects, systems and services provided by the Municipality, stressing the good support from Dubai government to provide high quality services in accordance with its vision and strategy.
