The new internet portals, intranet portals, and e-services platform provide a single point of entry for all government services and information

LINK Development, a leading provider of integrated technology solutions across the Middle East, Africa and Gulf regions, in collaboration with FRCI, the local partner in Mauritius, recently celebrated the launch of the new portals platform of the Republic of Mauritius (www.gov.mu) that provides a single point of entry for all government services and information. Mauritius e-Government portals platform, which includes the government's internet, intranet portals, and a large set of e-services, was unveiled during a recent launching event by the Mauritian Minister of ICT.
LINK Development has optimized the new e-Government portal to include over 130 internet and 25 intranet portals for Ministries and government entities as well as a large set of e-services based on a central e-services workflow management system. An automated workflow management system enables the government to deliver faster e-services to users, thereby reducing costs of operations to deliver those services. The new platform uses the latest and powerful technology of SharePoint, FAST and K2 to deliver a homogeneous platform that allows scalability and dramatically reduces cost of ownership.
The new government platform is designed according to the latest industry standards with the aim to achieve higher international ranking for Mauritius in the Government Development Index (GDI) and the e-Participation Index, to help attract new foreign investments to the country.
